| congratulations, david, on your art prize. i have seen only a little of your work online - but enough already to make me rethink what it is we are able to capture when we photograph another human being. extraordinary.
i was blessed to be at charlotte's gig last night at shepherd's bush empire, and am still more than mildly euphoric this morning! she has blossomed seemingly effortlessly into her role of rock goddess ... there is such strength beneath that fragility ... and hearing her sing "l'hôtel particulier" from "l'histoire de melody nelson" in particular was very emotional for me. it was so lovely to see jane and family there too, a few seats away.
for almost 25 years now i have been enthused and inspired by this most supportive, extraordinary, creative and beautiful of families and you all continue to bring me so inspiration.
love to bee and all.

| Bravo! Bravo! Keep on your seizures of creation, David! This is wonderful to hear. I've been a fan of your work for about a year now. From stunning captures of Anno to the bareback riding of Mongolia to painful and sculpture-like pleasure ways in 4hrs and Hold to icy baptism of Letting Go. And Confessions...WOW! That's my favorite set. It's wondrous and has me wondering, not because of whatever details were revealed for each person, but the whole concept and sensation for them of cameras and invisible self-chosen listeners (and need I even say how much the unknown soldier screams in unseen gestures to all today and far longer than just before? God, the stories people can put to that one, or those stories never ever heard). Your own work and your collaborations with Eloise are brilliant in heart and for viewers to take in. And how all the anthropological words of Hebrew tribes, Dante, Dickinson, Eliot, and Anno overlap as the now and echo these silent actions you make and take. Like with Anno's music/poems, when I look at your art, and consider what it is or means, and I experience the universal knowing it/not knowing it at the same time. Like maybe being dead/alive, things are true/false, your pictures are clear/unclear, complete/incomplete. Never just one or the other...to be or not to be is replaced by an AND
Thanks for sharing with us the awesome news, Andrew. And thanks David for all this creation and observing. Congrats! Good hunting as you continue on! xxxxx |

| These departures feel across the universe like those strange ocean songs from the dark heavens below. Oh, Anno, your family knows to well what it's like to live without not only a certain family member such as a son or brother or cousin, but more so an irrepacable lover, which you were in too many different senses to count. I can understand the pain they feel when they know others are going through the same thing. Such pain is actually something to be thankful for, certainly not because of what happened, but because that way for others, those hearts close to the river are so rare to find in this world "always packed with the condolences of those who never acted on their instinct, those suspended always at the brink of their existence" or of the angry, num "what's that got to do with me?". Sadly that question is so many times effortlessly left unanswered. Though never by you or your MamaBee who know "the throes of such abandon" in the love from yourselves and for over the honour you give countless lovers, parents, siblings and children. Bless her and the whole family.
Those who experience this horror and wonder first hand. The Remembrance page often gives us such updates, and many of us have never met anyone of you or you, but through KJD's landslide or these updates, instead of being passing names in our thoughts, you are amazing colours, none like the other. I don't know any of this pain now, but I'm so, so sorry you have to live without her and her in the physical sense. Andrew was so right when he said, "God knows, that's the one that matters most" even when we begin to recognize ourselves and those who are "gone" among the stars. Bless you as you meet this indescriable journey. And love to the little son as he lives and dies full of life and manifestions in reflections of the unknown, hopefully in many years to come.
And mostly, blessings to you two, robbed in crash? liberated in becoming one with the universe? I don't know how it works! But i know for sure you're not gone, and i don't just mean from your loved ones, but from being and not being and from the race. O colourful ones! Lots of love to you. xxxxx |

| Last Friday a friend and her small daughter were
killed in a car crash on the Mombasa road outside
Nairobi. We are all still reeling from this terrible
news. I want to honour them both and send love and
thoughts to the family - and especially to the
little brother who survived the collision un-harmed,
but now has no mother to see him through his growing
years. It is just too sad to think on. With Love and
remembrance... x |

| Anno, you're tossing this night inside your womb. I was just reading "At the crags, at the tooth..." and lost a good many minutes in it's self and other understanding of love. I'm coming to read your poems slower and slower, and lately the time (though not the want) you consume in this reader allows me only to take in one poem at each WSTRIO opening. Love to you, sweet boy and all the experience you're turning into creation as you journey amoung the stars. xoxox |
