| Back in Nairobi after a week on lamu Island where internet access was very erratic... So I now send belated but warmest greetings to sweet EMILY whose arrival brings lightness to the hearts of us all... I also wanted to let everyone know that we lit a candle for Anno on his birthday and Billy, Ned, Joni and I scattered some of his ashes into the Indan Ocean - lit by an almost new moon. Then we threw some of Jannie's too - so she could join him for a swim in the silvery sea... I will be back in England on the 22nd and then Ned can help me to post photos and reports from the Anno's Africa adventure onto the site. It went really well -- hard work of course but the final day was a triumph for both the kids and their trainers.

| David, Ned and Anno have a new sister, Emily-Jane, born yesterday at 6.30pm on Jane's birthday - hence delayed fix (and a rather apposite one at that, I trust we won't kill her wih warmth too soon). Also winds have blown down a couple of our telegraph poles = no phone or internet for the nonce... |
