Oh, guess not. Sorry. When i tried to post something a few minutes ago, a wierd flash came up, saying, "fill in your name!" But this time it cut it out. Hurrah!! xxx

So now we have to actually fill in a name to post something?? Awe!...this really throws off my attempt at loosing an idenity in becoming one with the universe!! O, most wonderful!...'share the shadow, share the light' Knowing of this return to the trecherous and beautiful Neverland in Kenya, i just want to quote all your words of heartbreak/hope. So, Anno, thy Kingdom come, and the songs will playing these nights while the poems bleed out of our hearts away from the illusions of names. May the dangerous reunion be of great home comings...of which you came, of which you are all coming to. You are them, and they you, and neither and never all together as one, and infinity of idenities. In naturalness of what's she's doing, endless love to a good and great Bee...and the young kings and queens, and of all of Anno's Africa, there and everywhere. PS and a special kiss and whisper to sweet Jannie, runner and teacher, may these artists all breathe you in. Though you'll already inside the bold beating heart... PSS Anno, you know my insides have been howling and murmuring "Terror of Mistakes" these past days...it seems to sea and land creatures, switching with each other to explore their own world, but really...like you singing inside of the kids. So may it be echoed here... " We are broken and in need of adoration. A token of my truth is here in blood - on your walls, on your world. Your mirror. Is it I who error in my thought? You ought not to correct my splendid ways - For I am youth! The truth is never louder, never bolder and more ignorant than now. And the terror of mistake is never greater. But we are not so fragile. We are strongest now whilst strapped to the drum. And we breathe to its beat. And the heat from the sun keeps us hopeful."

Marie and I go back to Kenya next week to set up for the autumn programme. Just hope that Kibera has recovered enough for us to be able to start work with the three schools there with whom we planned to engage this January... So excited about seeing the St John's kids again - and all our dear SAFE trainers who have been having such a difficult time this year. Also we will visit the orphanage and see how brave Irene is bearing up...last we heard was that half of her staff had disappeared due to the tribal rifts... Meanwhile I shall take some of sweet Jannie's ashes with me and mix them with Anno's and cast them into the wind from the Ngong hills to create a double blessing for our Kenyan chidren from two guardian angels... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just back from South Africa (Cape Town) and the Anno's Africa workshops in Nyanga Township. Billy, Maire, Michael, Emma nd I worked with 8 local artists teaching 127 kids on a two week holiday project - all day Monday to Friday -- and a Saturday outing in the middle when we took them ALL to the beach for the day ... Hair-raising monent as all 127 went running into the sea, life guarded by just 4 of us (apart from the professionals who were standing by but somewhat indifferently!) We lost not one - and they all had the most amazing day. We ended the workshop programme on the final Saturday with a parade though the local community, singing and bashing our home made percussion instruments as we gathered the crowds to come to the Open Day at the school we had been loaned - much as the SAFE theatre troups gather their audiences in Kenya. We made a beautiful banner and sang our way through the streets past the shacks and houses - stopping and walking in respectful silence as we passed the two of the many funerals that were taking place that Saturday -- a stark reminder that this population is still being ravaged by the AIDS virus. Many of our kids were orphans - living with grandparents or extended families and a high percentage are themselves on anti-retroviral drugs as they too are infected with HIV. And the death toll is rising again, in spite of the new awareness - not decreasing as was hoped. We are going to hold an exhibition of the kids' art work to try and raise enough for another holiday fortnight at Christmas.. Will keep everyone posted as to when and where. Meanwhile Marie and I will go back to Kenya to set up their summer holiday programme too and get the ball rolling for some new ventures in other slums... xxxxxx ps Jannie spent a lot of time in Cape Town and I felt her presence there very strongly -- Jannie as she used to be in her happier days - running along the beach and plunging into the Indian Ocean...

A little late from this side of the planet, but I echo all these wishes to a good and great Prince of Saturn!
