| Here's a happy Easter egg, just in: "The first ever edition of Ultraviolet Magazine 'the Out of the Blue (Into the Black) Issue' is dedicated to the mighty Anno. The King is gone but he's not forgotten! Two pages of poetry are featured together with a brief introduction and links to the anno website (also on our webpage, www.ultravioletmag.com). Ultraviolet is a continuation in written form of rock n roll concept albums, a time-capsule that turns the bright lights on exiting performers a little beyond the regular spectrum. | nyanga, cape town ... wow ... i am envious of your mission (mission's a loaded word, but i'm not sure how to replace it). my father was born in cape province and educated in cape town before coming to england 50 years ago, so i think of myself as hailing vaguely from SA, if only in the form of a sperm that formed 11 years after departing the fatherland.
one day i hope to be in a position to help out bodily with anno's africa, rather than simply, as jane said, by wearing the t-shirt ... Xx |

| For those interested, Anno's Africa will be meeting tomorrow with the street children in Nyanga for the first time. It will be a formal introduction of sorts to break the ice between us pale faces and the township. Classes don't begin properly until Monday but we have met our newly assembled Cape Town team(minus Emma who arrives on Saturday) and the excitement is strikingly palpable. Wish us luckXXX |

| A few weeks ago someone asked if we could create a page for Lee, to which Ned and I happily responded, By All Means! But those means necessarily includes new material, either photos of him, or - better still - drawings or writings by him, or simply memories and anecdotes by those who knew him. They can either be posted on the forum, or send them to the above email and we'll include them on a new page. The same of course goes for Alberto! So please, if you knew either of them or can help us enlarge on their portraits, please do! |

| Reading from the star-crossed air of Italy that it's Lee's birthday! Well, a happy one...to a good and great lost boy whom i never had the privlige of knowing (but i send so much love to those who did). Thank you for black and bloody and white angel wings that caused the chaos to begin a Landslide...
The first time I heard of you was a few suns after the crash, ATB showed me the video still of you and Anno's first encounter. Two boys in a school play, standing next to each other, compleatly unaware ("time alone spent thinking...") Years later, i am be looking through your extraordinary drawings upon this day and pondering your earthly journey which i hope to hear more of in the future. But if that future becomes past and i have to wait until joining you and Alberto and Anno, that should be an exhilirating first adventure on the far side. Another Happy Birthday! Lee, you are one of the most toxic gases...so heavy and strong on the inside that it touches someone in solid form. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
