Six years on dearest Isa and Mario -- and it's Alberto's birthday so I am thinking of you both and sending my love... My heart is so heavy as we lurch towards tomorrow night. We will join with you as we light our candles -- and our tears will unite in the skies above Bergamo, Snowdonia, Los Angeles, France and London as we remember again our boys who died in their glory and will never grow old...Love MamaBeee xxxxxxxxxxx

Great photos, Dan - especially of lee's rat-in-the-wind. Am glad people are still visiting this page as well as the forum -- aren't we lucky to have both?! x

i hesitate to post a message to alison here on the loss of her son peter, but as a mother now (and i am still accustoming myself to the role, so monumental is it) i feel i cannot NOT comment ... but what could i possibly say that would be of comfort? i can only send a virtual hug. which is to say, a hug that is no less real or sincere for being sent via virtual means. i am so sorry for the loss of your child Xxx

something that i learnt from the pages of the kjd remembrance site quite some time before i was ever blessed with the birth of my daughter melody in august 2006 was that, contrary to what life's experience had taught me, it WAS, and is, indeed possible to encourage your children in whatever direction their abilities and enthusiasms lie; without judgement and without disappointment when their joys turn out not to be the flipside of your life's own failures ... and i am so grateful to beee and andrew for this, for it will strengthen my conviction in what i want for my daughter for many years to come.

Last week I met with another mother who has just lost her son. His name was Peter and he died three months back, of cancer, aged 26. We all fear our children dying young - and when it happens we think we will never survive the grief. But somehow we do - and we walk on... Alison is amazingly brave and so was Peter during his last weeks. I would like his name to be written here, on this page, in our own book of the "honourable dead". I hope he is now playing his song with the others who also died too soon... Love MamaBeee xxxxxxxxxxx

My thoughts from the USA were with all of you in London yesterday and I am so pleased you will be able to return to Nairobi soon. God Bless and love to all. Billy's Mummy
