Well, I agree with this as answer, in the words of ATB after I was first introduced to Anno..."...both a particle and/or a wave - alive, and/or dead - until you the observer decide which you prefer - an operation known as collapsing the wave function...... which I try and avoid since it leads to reductionism." So both/neither...

White light shone through a prism becomes different bands of
coloured light. Each band has a different frequency. The
coloured lights of different frequencies are the constituent parts
of white light. Red light is just red light. Blue light is just blue
light. White light is all of those plus one more. It is greater than
the sum of its parts.

Without getting too cheesy (though it’s impossible not to), Anno
is white light and his words, music, humour, voice, mannerisms
etc., are the bands of lights of different frequencies. Our
experience of those things is a prism. “Touched” is just a good
song. An untitled poem is just a poem. Anno is all of those plus
one more. He is greater than the sum of his parts.

IS rather than WAS because we’re still having our experiences.
His constituent parts are still knocking about, only now they’re
arranged a bit differently in a pattern we don’t easily perceive as
Anno.

Another head scratching question is, “Is Anno a particle, a wave,
or both”???

Question: was Anno (or Adolf) the sum of his parts, or was he greater (lesser) than the sum of his parts? Answers on the back of a postcard please.

Thought the reply was pretty good though! I hope it made Anno laugh... Meanwhile a lovely lady called Anna has just winged her way into the dark - or the light maybe -- so I hope the boys are on stand by to entertain her. Her daughter was our Italian translator at the time of the crash. I don't know how we would have managed without her. So ariverderci darling Anna -- with love from Beee and all at Iverna. xxxxxxx

Amen to that, Prince of Saturn!

Here, we discuss the wonders of the universe. Over on the Rabbit
page, they are currently discussing the wonders of Anno's un-
sheathed genitalia. Marvelous!

I remember that...it's wonderful. A thank you to whoever put it up.

"He who pursues learning will increase every day;
He who pursues Tao will decrease every day" ...(Lao Tzu)

"What is soundless, touchless, formless, imperishable,
Likewise tasteless, constant, odorless,
Without beginning, without end, higher than the great, stable-
By discerning That, one is liberated from the mouth of death." ....(Upanishads?)

From the Tao:

Look, it cannot be seen - it is beyond form.
Listen, it cannot be heard - it is beyond sound.
Grasp, it cannot be held - it is intangible.
These three are indefinable;
Therefore they are joined in one.

Many thanks to Gus, who sent us a review for KJD's "Bring Back the Bomb" CD in The Lobster Quadrille's April 2007 edition - see Review Page.

Just to let everyone know that the landslide has begun. Anne Rothenstein, a painter friend who knew Anno well, has offered to pay for the framing of the pictures as her contribution to Anno's Africa. Bless you Annie - and double bless you for saying you will also be the first to buy a picture because you have always loved children's art. I think we should give you one of Victor's mono prints as a thankyou for starting the great rumble. Keep it moving, Anno, Lee, Alberto...
