| Well I certainly talked with Anno about communism - especially one time when we were in Kerala, South India (the only Indian state that is socialist/communist, at least in theory) - I was virtually a communist at his age, though not by dint of having read the bearded one, just a realisation that capitalism = greed = doom ... and Anno struck me as being pretty much the same, and agreed that the old cliche "if you're not a communist when you're 16 then you've got no heart, and if you're not a capitalist when you're 60 then you've got no head" is totally the wrong way round... maybe Billy had a few political wranglings between riffs? I'm sure Lee did. |

| I wish Anno had read some Marx - I'm studying him right now and find the spin it puts on the way I perceive the world so interesting. Did anyone ever chat with him about the bearded old man's theories? I would have loved to know what Anno would have thought about him, and (presuming he never really read any - I never heard him talk about it) how it would have changed Anno's perception of things. |

"Poetry is the expression of the unexpected,
the refusal to collect and the desire
to break through he walls of possibility."

| Ye gods! Why do my comments always come out so damn long!? Oh well, it's another glorious yin/yang expereince...I get to be humbled and exulated at the same time/space. Anno knew much better than I about Zen masters and the Buddha in replying to the questions of explanation and meaning in the noble science. Nonsnsical nonsense. Not only that, but he could condense the endless thought of humans and spirits into an equation...his poetry, his words. |

Sorry...this is all still new for me (and praise God, it always will be!)...it wasn't too long ago that I just began to realize about magic's twin (or other unity of duality) science...and therefore, even profound basics such as gravity -to repeat "spooky action at a distance"- can have my mental knickers in a twist!!! Just the same, how glorious the youthful recognition of not understanding (ah, the experience in quantum mechanics!), yet it's all so familiar...
Two quotes that echo in my ear drums tonight:
Ashvaghosha: "All things in their fundamental nature are not namable or explicable. They cannot be adequately expressed in any form or language."
Issace Asimov: "The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' but 'That's funny ...'"
And another, this is only a childhood quote of Albert's for me, but one that gave inpsiration to wonder beyond the laws of "logic" from limited religion and boring conformitity years ago! "What if one were to run after a ray of light...what if one were riding on the beam? ...if one were to run fast enough, would it no longer move at all?" Was it that Einstein thought the one-to-one, knock-on effect wasn't...because his proof in relativity prevented things faster than the speed of light as their mass would become infinite...? I do wonder about entities being able to travel at tachyon speed...So very behind, but having that young as Albert feeling when he was greatly affected by beholding his father's compass for the first time, it's worth it! Always believed in non-locality, just didn't know it...that is until Schrodinger told me so..."...there is no message." In listening to Andrew's delights of goolies and ghosties (and sharing them as well!) it was once made more understable with the domino effect, which holds true too (or at least way deeper down to chaos theory!) But even without the chain, you affect one electron, you affect it's partner, no matter how far apart in space! Echoing the butterfly = simple power in connection (also like the imaginary entanglments in relationships beings have with one another), and not just in space, but in time (if finding that the two are one with each other)...so "let us toast to the ghost of the future..."
Apologies for not having a point here, but it's so much fun watching you guys that I just wanted to join the dance even if I don't know how...and that's a tao in life.

Maybe Einstein didn't like that theory because he didn't like
wearing socks. |
