| To hear/download Anno reading Peter Rabbit, go back to www.anno.co.uk, click on "Song Downloads" from the green menu on the left, then scroll down to the bottom, where you can also find Molly Nyman's haunting "Song for Anno" that was heard in the Radio 4 programme. |

I heard the programme today, I can't believe it's been nearly five years. I still think about Anno from time to time and he can still make me smile :)
I'm hoping to come down to the KjD night on the 29th, it'll be good to see you all again.
Take care,
Sally x |

| That inspiring programme brought me here, and we've just listened to Anno aged 9 reading the whole of Peter Rabbit - that's me and my two twin boys aged 5 - and how they loved his reading it, the perfect book at bedtime. The music and poetry can wait till they're older, but Anno's already found two more young fans with his wonderful story-telling talents! |

I too, heard of Anno for the first time today while listening to bits of the Radio 4 play in my kitchen. I say bits because these days, with two sons to look after (nearly 3 yrs and 6 months), I rarely get the chance to listen to/read/watch or contemplate anything in great detail before I'm needed for milk, food, nappies, stories, playing, cuddles, and kissing things better. Whenever I feel frustrated at the limitations that fulltime motherhood can place on me, or short tempered with my beautiful baby boys, I will try to stop myself and remember how lucky I am to have them, and how utterly utterly lost I would be if I ever lost either of them.
As a human, but mostly as a mother, my heart aches for you all in your grief and your loss and thank you for sharing both your sorrows and your pride in your son/brother/friend in this website. I couldn't stop reading pages and pages of the very personal messages, yet somehow I did not feel like a voyeur, or a stranger, but a welcome visitor. I felt sure that you would all be happy that I could take something positive away from the tragic deaths of three gifted and special young men I never knew.
I will buy a book of Anno's poetry, but in between abovementioned duties, it may take me some time to read it....!
With love to all the families. |

'Those whom the Gods'love, die young. '
My namesake, Lucy, aged 14, who drowned in the Tsunami; my sister, Marianne. who felt life too keenly; my friend Imogen, aged 24; my boyfriend Anthony, whose heart was so big it burst, aged 38; my uncle, aged 21, an srtist who wasn't allowed to be himself in those days, and could not bear to pretend. All were young and too perfect for this grubby earth.
But we should still celebrate their brief existence. |

I heard your father's words. I have one son who is a DJ, just back from Bulgaria tec after cycling John'O'Groats to Lands' End for SOS Children's villages. He is a bad bad boy with a solid gold heart. Another son is 19, a writer and traveller and Cambridge Uni offer refusnik. I fear to lose them both. All the time. I'd love to buy some of your music and send bad boy to that concert if poss. He reads books too. With love, an old Mum and mad writer.

| I listened to your play this afternoon and was deeply moved by Anno's story and by your special relationship with him. My only son, Robert, was killed in a car crash when he was 17. Like Anno, he was a wonderful person, bright and talented, and brought joy to all who knew him. Most importantly, he enjoyed his life and lived it to the full in those tragically few short years and will always be remembered with love. The pain of losing Robert is overwhelming but it is still outweighed by the joy of having known him for 17 years. Your similar feelings for Anno were reflected very movingly in your recollections this afternoon. Thank you for sharing his life. |

Thanks to all who've visited this site (even Sirius for preventing any of us getting too big headed) but a special thanks to Karen Rose, who was as much the writer as I was, and who came up with the idea of doing the programme in the first place. And to Ian, Bee and Alice for lending life to Anno's words... and Molly for her "Song for Anno"... but most of all Anno himself, whose "bold heart beats on" as fearlessly as ever...
