Oh wow, I'm just too moved for words

I have just learnt about Anno after listening to a play about him on radio 4. I was so moved by it that I needed to know more about him and his poems and his music.I somehow feel richer for having learnt about this beautiful person and intend to find out more. A member of my family is very ill at the moment and may die and I seem to have gained some strength or insight or something from this story. I have chosen the remembrance site because I will always remember this day. For those of you who knew Anno or his work you may be pleased to know that he is still gaining fans.

Thanks for those words, Tommy - it made me weep with joy just to read them!

I've been coming here on and off for over two years, as to a holy site or a place of pilgrimage, but not in any maudlin sense but rather as a source of inspiration. Anno put it best in one of his last poems. "There's hope, despite time and its mindless pillage" - and this place is so full of hope and courage and growth that I rarely manage to hold back tears of joy. I don't mean to offend the families of Anno and Alberto and Lee in their loss. I've never lost anything of any real value, but if I ever do, I will remember this place, and try to do what you all seem to have done, by turning disaster into a triumph of the spirit over "outrageous fortune". O death where is thy sting? Nowhere to be found in this hallowed place! My thanks to all who keep it going, but perhaps most of all to Anno, whose weekly fixes have kept me going through my(sonetimes) drear existence, to the extent that I feel I know him almost better than anyone in my life, and who continues to grow without seeming end.

wanted to share my news with mama beee, who comforted me here in my saddest time, and with everyone.

my beautiful daughter melody rose was born on 28 august 2006. she's named "melody" after the character played on serge's masterpiece by anno's aunt jane, and "rose" for her great-grandmother.

lots of love to you all xx
