Indeed, I crossed the threshold some time in the early hours of this morning. Certainly the most anticipated day for me for the past 4 and a half years - and like all expectation one can't help but feel a bit let down when you realise you're really not much different from the day before! Alas, no longer can I feel that Anno experienced more of life than me, and no longer can I hide from the fact that I am truly different, with different acheivments and goals under my belt. I have come to Italy to mark the event with dear Lissy, Isa and Mario. Went to the bridge yesterday, and listened to the whole of Method One in Alberto's studio today, which thoughroughly strengthened my resolve to push KjD to as many ears as will listen, and as many minds as will appreciate them. I also feel I can now so respect and appreciate Anno's brilliance, his shadow having shifted with time's rays so that it now (hopefully) lies beside, rather than over, me.
Listening to KjD in that studio where they recorded the very songs that were beating in my headphones was pretty strange - particularly hearing Anno's last recorded words on Killing Flies (a muffled "One, two, three!" before the last section of the song - for those unobservant listeners who didn't know!). I'm not really into the whole spiritualism that brings so much to those who visit this site, but listening to that music in the studio it was recorded in over four and a half years ago, I almost felt that with a push (and probably some LSD) I'd be able to see them all there, ripping the notes out of their instruments. Of course this may seem strange to Billy, who's still roaming the streets of L.A., but let's just say that I could imagine them there, rather than actually think they were there.
The strange thing is that despite my passing him, I still feel that Anno is older. I think because he will always be my 'older brother' - and after being gone so long it doesn't really matter that he's not aging at all. I still feel his presence over my shoulder, laughing at south parks or scorning pop world. Hopefully we can hold fast to our memories of who he really was, and feel his opinions present, despite his long absence. So I smile as I take my next step away from the past, but hopefully not away from my brother. |

| Thinking of Ned as he crosses the line and becomes older than Anno... who would have been so proud to have had you his brother - as he always was. xxxxx |

Ye gods!! Not exactly a moment of stillness for words of silence. Oh, days and dusks can be so crazy! Yet I am wishing all of you a good, great New Year. Perhaps the new morning will bring forth a experience of rest and dreaming within the journey just for a moment to bring forth the life within those so called alive and dead. If there could be words for Andrew, Bee, David, Ned, and all those who shared Anno with the world...perhaps they'd be too beautiful to utter. But Anno is able to utter such things. He brings forth that and so much more! And may his words last for the day...for all time, and fill the sunset and night with promising shine and life!
Good, great year and day to all you beautiful ones! |

| Jinxed! Dish washer flooded Christmas Eve, boiler exploded Christmas Day, Charlotte bust her coccyx Boxing Day, Toby fell down the cellar New Years Eve, Karen bust her ankle on the trampoline, the boiler exploded a second time on New Years Day... and now I can't load Anno's weekly fix! Dafydd's spent an hour trying to figure out the clitch, in vain - so until I can track down Disaster Dave, Fix #110 is on the Rabbit Page... and do us a favour Lee, Alberto, Anno - gizza break! |
