| What a wonderful fix of the week, so beautifully concise and deceptively simple. I can't thank you enough for this website. x |

| Lissy, Nick, Poppy and Talulah are in Italy with Isa and Mario, walking in the footsteps of Lissy's brother - swimming in the lake at Moniga, eating in the little restaurant where he spent his last night - and I hope bringing joy and lightness to Alberto's darling parents who are the bravest and kindest people I have ever met. Love from Bee to all of you - and have fun together in Bergamo...xxxxxxxxxx |

With the last of my strength
i will draw my last breathe,
it will fill a ballon
and my body will rest.
You can carry it around,
as it droops from the string,
and as you make your last bed,
you can breathe it in. |

thankyou so much for this beautiful gift of a website. i have been a huge fan of Anno's work since i found a copy of "who said the race is over?" on my father's coffee table some years ago. Anno was truly a genius, we are all luckier to have heard his sounds, seen his pictures and most importantly, read his words.

A poem sent to me by a reader on the Barrie site - entirely new to me, although the theme is something I experience every time I read one of Anno's poems or listen to KjD. It's by the Canadian poet Alden Knowlen, entitled "An Exchange of Gifts":
As long as you read this poem
I will be writing it.
I am writing it here and now
before your eyes,
although you can't see me.
Perhaps you'll dismiss this
as a verbal trick,
the joke is you're wrong;
the real trick
is your pretending
this is something
fixed and solid,
external to us both.
I tell you better:
I will keep on
writing this poem for you
even after I'm dead.

ciao Alberto, oggi che è la festa della mamma ed anche il tuo anniversario mi sento il cuore stretto da una morsa. Ho odiato chi mi ha fatto gli auguri. Mi manchi tanto.
un abbraccio anche a mamma bee.
