Saw Jane last night as Hamlet's mum in the fabulous production at Northampton... and finally remembered Anno's favourite line, which he told me on the phone a few hours before the crash. I cursed myself that I hadn't written it down at the time; and then, with a hot flush, I heard it again from Hamlet. It comes just before the duel, when Horatio has warned him that he'll lose:
"There's a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, 'tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come: the readiness is all. Since no man knows aught of what he leaves, what is't to leave betimes?" |

Word up Carloz. It would appear that you are
no longer constantly sleeping. Nightmares are
quite positive in that respect. Alberto wouldn't
call a metal track a song. They're bunches of
riffs. Jeff buckley wrote songs. Mayhem write
bunches of riffs.
I have an unfortunate update. Lee's bass and
amp are gone. Permanently. Not lost.
Destroyed. I was squatting a 16 bedroom
mansion in Holland Park, and it turned out to
be owned by coke dealing russian mafia. They
turned up without warning,20 massive
bodybuilding gangsters, and destroyed
everything in sight. We managed to get away
with only a mild beating, but they did drag me
around the garden with a noose tied out of a
jack lead round my neck. I suppose that it's as
good a way as any for them to go, and Lee
wasn't really that into that warwick session
bass anyway.
This is not all the bishop has been up to,
though. There is a new track done with Billy,
aka Bochephus Prime, under the primedante
title. It's called murder. An instrumental
version is released on the Cranial
Perforations #1 compilation, and the final
product is being put together in LA as we
speak. There is also a gaggle of riffs brewing
in a dingy studio in acton, under the name of
P.I.M.P. The first outing is the forthcoming
Artbelowzero nihilism event in May. Be there or
don't.
And that is still not all the bishop has been up
to. Oh no... |

I think this is a truly lovely website and have
only just discovered it tonight after seeing that
Razorlight Up all night album has a dedication to
Anno on it. Anno has often been in my thoughts
ever since I read an interview with his Dad. My
husband worked with Andrew on the sound fx on
'Cement Garden' (just one of the best (see it if
you havent already) ever films made) and he often
told me how much Andrew's kids meant to him and
the whole home education bit. I know I shall keep
coming back to this site to learn more. I will
end with a favourite poem which I wish I had
written and dedicate to the memory of the gorgous
sounding (and looking) Anno.......
ASCENSION
And if I go,
while you’re still here.....
Know that I live on,
Vibrating to a different measure
-behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
so you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together
again,
- both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest.
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
.... I will be there.

How wonderful to know you are so happy dear Carloz -
- (Didn't know there was a Z on the end - is that a
Brazillian addition???) You deserve every joyful
moment that you find - and more. We all send love....

so here we go, again
how's everybody doing?
months have passed (years)
carloz steps back inside this .. this guestbook, hall of emotions, virtual house of friends and relatives and fans
carloz's back to tell to those who care he's fine, and in the global south (northeast of brasil)
carloz's here to give a warm hug to andrew and bee and ned and billy and isa and mario and all of the lovely people out there
and to all of alberto's friends, at least
sorry for having kind of disappeared
i had to breathe some fresh air - nightmares still hunting me
everything looks like it happened a century ago
everything still looks like it happened yesterday
yes i'm fine, i'm sincerely fine
it wasn't easy, it wasn't easy at all
but i did it (way we do it, way we all manage to survive, way we face terror, way we learn to extract joy, even out of pain)
there's a big black inside of us, a hole no food no money no smiles no music can fill
a hole that makes all of us, who lived this - on different levels, together - .. a family
a sick sad family, one may want to argue
a marvellous family, i'd say
so, sorry family for having travelled far away
mentally and phisically
this distance cured me
in the south of the world
where i met poor, simple, digne people
where i reconciled with nature and
i learned to take care of my body, and soul, in a better way
and
i met love
it was painted on the face of a young, gorgeous girl
the first time we talk
it was in her hands and legs
it was in the way she moved
it was in her smile and tits and
while the blue of my eyes
shined back through the black of hers
i knew that
once again
it would have been love
this time, my friends,
it will BE forever
it's deep
pure
sincere
unconditional
love
it's destiny, showing his sweet side, this time
once again, sorry for having flushed away
(well, everybody said i had the right to do this ..)
so here's the news:
i am happy, and fine
a phisical, and spiritual regeneration taking place
something i didn't even have the courage to ask, envision, desire ..
my legs are fine
my back is .. ok
even my elbow doesn't hurt that much anymore
and i'm in peace
i'm planning to spend one more year here in brasil
(icapui, ceara, 215 east of fortaleza, ocean .. coconuts and fishermen)
karina - my delicious girl-friend - she's gonna finish her university here
in the middle of 2006 we'll take the road to europe
all of you are in my toughts, and prayers and
200 miles, or 1300, or 6700
i guess this doesn't make any big difference
un abbraccio
carloz

Huge congratulations to Gus (and Emma) for the
incredibly successful launch of the TREPAN label . It
was a brilliant evening at the Paradise Club and I'm
sure the boys were there too, from that other Paradise..
Carnival of Souls, Dr Filth, The Mystery Jets -- and all
the other bands were fantastic . And the solo
performers were brilliant too -- especially Andrew
Robertson, Son of Dave - and that marvelous, modest,
saxophonist.... Full to capacity and more - the place
was truly rocking that night. Wish you could have been
there, Isa and Mario. Next time maybe....
