Thanks for the news, that's excellent. Can't wait to see and hear more. I think 'Touched' is one of my favourite songs... I didn't know it wasn't by KJD.

PS -
Forgot to mention that Touched is an Anno original too, not KJD. In fact Touched, Ultraviolence and a bunch of other songs from the Anno cd of the Dreams of Waking compilation are from the album made with his previous band - Flying Mango Attack - which we have concidered putting up online with its original cover at somepoint too. For anyone who's interested or doesn't know: Flying Mango Attack contained Anno, Billy, Lee and Christian, and existed from about 1998 to 2000 (I might have that wrong). Lee and Christian had been in a band in their early teens, called Stony Sleep, and Christian in fact was Razor Light's drummer until recently.
It was only in late 2000 (I think - if I've got these dates wrong please nobody who knows feel embarresed to correct me!) that KJD was formed with Alberto on the drums and a fairly new musical direction. Both bands were amazing and original in my opinion - just depends on your taste. |

To all those KJD fans out there who have probably been itching to hear more of the songs the band managed to produce before the end, and to all the people who visit the KJD site: good news.
We have finally got on to the case of updating the KJD site with more downloadable songs - one's most people probably won't have heard as they wern't on the Dreams of Waking Album, or the Anno page (as they are band song's it would be wrong to put them on the Anno site).
Of the KJD material that exists there are 3 main sources: Live at the West One Four and Live at the Sanctuary are the two gig recordings taken before they went off to Italy, both are fantastic, energetic and have now been re-mastered by the fantastic Faney.
Method One is the third source of what music is left. For those who don't know: it was the album they were working on in Italy, sadly never to be finished, but luckily in the days before the crash they recorded a rehearsal of almost all the album's songs - the tragedy being that they only had enough mic's to record the instruments so there are no vocals - but they're still absolutly beutiful recordings, tight, powerful and musically inspirational, and show what you can tear out of two guitars, a bass and a drum kit. It too has also been remastered to perfection by Faney's dark arts.
Eccept for Ultraviolence, Nero's New Bathroom and Close to the River, which wern't KJD exploits, the songs on the KJD cd of the Dreams of Waking album are from Live at the Sanctuary, and Killing Flies is from Method One. But the majority of their music has never been heard by the public so we're gonna start sticking it all up online bit by bit.
Also, when updating the site we will hopefully be putting up a page for the only member of KJD still with us; Billy, aka Hill Billy Deluxe, sometimes to be seen on FBI posters as Bocephus Prime, the well known Texan Transformer. He has been working on new material over the past three years: he wrote a three song tribute to KJD with Dan, (Bishop Dante) in 2002 called Strong and Low, and over christmas he played me some of his new material which I can personally tell everyone is fucking kicks ass! In my opinion Billy is a clear musical genius, with sublime creativity and a voice that's more dynamic than Jeff Buckley's (after all Buckley couldn't sing in Qwali or Urdu!) and I hope that through people visiting the KJD site and enjoying the music they will be inspired to check out Billy's new stuff too.
Once this is done I should hopefully have learnt how to update the site more consistently, so to Lee and Alberto's friends and family: if you come across any material (demos, writing, drawings etc) and you'd like to have it put online then give me a call and I'll get on the case!
So watch this space, get ready and treat your ears well folks cos you're gonna need them in full working order for the onslaught of musical enlightenment they're going to subject you to!

Hi, everyone. Anno’s dad was kind enough to send me Anno’s book of poems, and asked me to share what I had to say about them on this site. This is what I wrote. "You feel this great blaze of creative energy -you can almost warm your hands off the pages. In Anno's writing, I get this constant sense of reaching, reaching, reaching for the infinite. But that's balanced by a lovely earthiness, which makes me feel as if an old friend is talking to me. (To which Anno might comment, with good reason, 'blah, blah, blah, blah' –(I think his sense of humour is pretty cool, too.)" To this, I’d like to add the following. The thing I sense most strongly about Anno is that he is still around, still creative, that he loves his family and his friends, cares about them, works with them and though them. I know that’s little comfort for those who simply want to hold him again –but one day you will. Love from David Bowker.

I don't know what else I can say that doesn't sound trite or silly but -
Thank you. Thank you for inspiring me and helping me in more ways than you could know, or I could have possibly guessed before hearing your songs and reading your poetry and finding out about your life, Anno, and all of you. Thank you. |

| Anno's reading of "Peter Rabbit" is absolutely brilliant, I can hardly believe he was only nine. I've downloaded it to play to my little brother, thankyou for giving so much xxx |

| When I read the poetry and music that Anno and his band left behind, it always inspires me in such a way that i'm either lifted by it, or saddened that he was taken at such a young age. But never the less, the inspiration and love is still there... I'll always remember that. |

Hello.
I write on this website because I don't know how to express
the feelings created by Anno's poems in my mind. I believe
that he was a true artist. I'm writing poems too and he is a
great inspiration to me and I admire him as his words are of
so much strenght. I want to thank you for publishing his
poems because they made me more unhappy and kind and
whenever I read his words, they always seem to be new in
my spirit.
Best regards from a French man.
